We' ve spent a few months visioning, painting, redecorating, adding, more painting, dreaming, and then some more painting. But the Warehouse is mostly completed, at least functional, and a new beginning of a new year brings change and hope into our lives. Our scripture describes life in terms of hope, of Christ re-newing our lives, through His resurrection, calling us to change, to grow, to move forward in advance of a coming Kingdom which will be beyond our wildest dreams. Jesus�� mission here on earth was to radically transform humanity so that we would see God in view of each other.
The youth program here at Christ Church is in the midst of change. By talking with the youth, we are changing the structure so that new growth can take place. Sunday School will be the largest point of contact with our youth. We will still have Sunday evening but it we be centered on those who want to dig deeper in the Bible. Each night will be completely independent of any other, so if you miss, then you miss. Students will be expected to bring their Bibles, and we will be taking notes. I think for at least the beginning, notebooks will be provided. We will continue Chic Chat on Wednesday evenings, and Boys Banter will return with some changes from previously. We also are planning a Friday night open house type of thing where unchurched youth can find a safe fun place to experience God. We have some other cosmetic changes that will enhance the youth experience, and those will be seen as we continue to grow.
